Supervisor Ellen Pirie was elected to the Board of Supervisors in November, 2000, and is serving her second term. An attorney, Supervisor Pirie was the Directing Attorney of Senior Citizens Legal Services prior to her election to the Board. The Second Supervisorial District includes the communities of Aptos, La Selva Beach, Corralitos, Freedom, and portions of the cities of Capitola and Watsonville.

While all Supervisors vote on recommendations submitted by the planning department, the proposed developments for Aptos Village are in Ellen Pirie's district. It is important to contact Ellen and let her know that as a community member you want to be personally informed of all meetings and agenda items regarding the Aptos Village Plan and related construction projects.

You can also meet with Ellen in person most weeks on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Aptos Sheriff's Substation at the Rancho Del Mar Shopping Center, Aptos (near the Safeway supermarket).
